The Winter/Spring 2007 issue of  Oregon Literary Review  is now online.

Thoughts on this subject

OMED: Those of you who are regular readers of this latest version of Oregon Magazine know that we stand for principles other than those which have long directed just about any publication approved of by just about anybody in journalism in this state.  We are of the new school of politics hereabouts.  Charley Deemer is of the old school.  For recently converted readers, this means Charley's list of the finest literary works  (or any other type of artistic expression) in Oregon will include no works which bash the political Left.

Understanding that will make the visit to Deemer's site a more enlightened one.  The fact is that while we can't stand Charlie's politics, he knows a good bit about words, and isn't bad with photos and other forms of expression.   Every six months at his site (linked above) he packs in a new load of everthing from novels to plays to original musical creations.

As long as you wear the protective garments we have provided so as to keep you from being infected by the "Progressive" themes favored by artists everywhere, you should have some fun with Charlier Deemer.

* OMED is an acronym for Oregon Magazine Editorial Director  (LL)

Note: E-RFDs are messages that circulate around the internet.  Some are factual and some are mythical.  We make no distinction between the types, here, but rather offer them pretty much as they come in -- as examples of comment and rumor from a global mind.
