E-RFD: Insult to Our Nation

The
protesters put up the Mexican flag over the American flag flying upside
down at Montebello High School In California. You will not see these photos
on the front page of the New York Times, or on the lead story of the major
news networks.
It makes you wonder why they moved here. Obviously, the place they left
represents all that is good, and the place they came to represents all
that is bad. Based on that, we would be cruel if we
didn't
send them home.
Even
if you don't know why this act means what it means, you probably sense
it isn't a positive statement. On the sea, an upside-down flag on a boat
means it is in serious trouble. No motive power, no steering, criminals
have taken over, etc. On the land, in this case, it means Mexico
is a better country than the United States, and if the citizens of this
nation don't shut up and do what these people want, then the citizens of
this nation are racist, selfish bums.
If you choose to remain uninvolved, the email text said, do not be amazed
when the day comes that you have far less left of what you worked for since
it will have been redistributed to the activists while you peacefully remained
above the fray.
| Note: E-RFDs are messages that circulate around the
internet. Some are factual and some are mythical. We make no
distinction between the types, here, but rather offer them pretty much
as they come in -- as examples of comment and rumor from a global mind. |
