Teddy (the Date Drowner) Kennedy, George W. Bush & John McCain's
Immigration Fiasco Bill is apparently a DEAD DUCK in the Senate!
Isn't
that a darn shame??? We don't get to spend $3 Trillion dollars on welfare
benefits for illegal aliens. And George Bush does not get to
join Teddy and
John in destroying the Republican Party -- although the party probably
deserves to be put out of its misery after the way it has screwed up
royally under Bush's free-spending leadership.
I wonder if the Republican leaders learned anything from this
fiasco -- probably not.
LaRaza and other illegal immigrant support groups
PLUS the Oregonian
hate the fact that far-left Teddy (the date drowner) Kennedy's reform
bill
(pushed hard by RINOS John McCain and George W. Bush) was defeated
in the Senate.
All of which adds up to telling us the US Senate
finally did something right
-- perhaps.
They tried to sneak this one by citizens (again)
without first sealing the
borders (which many say is a mandatory Step One to addressing the
problem) and they got caught by those could discern another govt con
job at work. No bill is better than this mess -- until our
government shows us it
intends to CONTROL OUR BORDERS FIRST!
Only then can we talk about Step Two.
SOB
PS -- the Spanish-speaking roofers, siders, and painters
who have been working on the house we are building do a first class job,
always arrive early
and leave late, and cause absolutely no problems. They are the kind
of
workers I would hope we would welcome in this country and I hope we
find
a way they can become U S citizens if they are not already.
Immigrants have a way of reminding us who we are,
where we came from, and how fortunate we are that all of our ancestors
immigrated to this country at one time or another. They are a way
of refreshing ourselves by adding hard working new ingredients. Is the
phrase "blessing in disguise" appropriate
here?
Our country is not that old, and indigenous
birth rates are down and
abortion rates up. We need replacement workers who are not afraid of
hard
work not just to produce goods and services but to revitalize our work
force
grown too complacent perhaps.
| Note: E-RFDs are messages that circulate around the
internet. Some are factual and some are mythical. We make no
distinction between the types, here, but rather offer them pretty much
as they come in -- as examples of comment and rumor from a global mind. |
