| Bad Thinking Produces Unintended Consequences by
Ross Smith
As I read about the latest Hollywood one day anti-war fast -- one day? -- (I ask) how is this a fast? -- I've gone a single day without eating many times in my life -- and I have actually fasted for forty straight days -- so how is one day a fast? -- except in the muddled mind of a Hollywood limousine lefty -- anyway -- I find myself wondering to what extent all this anti-war commotion coming from these nutty left wing anti-warriors -- including of course almost the entire American media establishment and Democrat party -- is actually encouraging our terrorist enemies and thus having the effect of unnecessarily prolonging the war on terror AND actually costing American soldiers' lives! That our lefty chattering class is accomplishing exactly the opposite of what they intend is not new to loony left wing politics in America -- in fact their grandiose liberal programs are famous for their dire unintended consequences -- minimum wage (laws) causing unemployment -- welfare subsidies encouraging leisure and fatherless families -- excessive taxes destroying incentives to produce -- medical assistance driving up the cost of medicine and driving down its availability -- the unintended consequences list is endless because natural laws are inviolate -- inasmuch as well intentioned liberals are famous for not being able to connect the dots -- and actually think through the possible adverse effects their latest big government schemes might have in the real world. But you'd think that just one of these outspoken anti-warriors might be able to grasp the fact that their latest treasonous actions -- such as revealing government secrets on tracking terrorists -- revealing these to our terrorist enemies -- would actually give aid and comfort to our enemy -- wouldn't you? -- I mean it seems so simple to me -- especially when they are warned beforehand what will surely happen. (But it is obviously not clear) in the muddled mind of these left wing loonies. People actually die as a consequence of their loony "thinking." Father forgive them -- they are so very well intentioned -- but they know not what they do! -- RAS © 2006 Ross A. Smith |
