Mt. Hood Skibowl Opens 

 Government Camp -- On Friday, Nov. 30th at 3:00 p.m., with 19 inches of new snow in the last 24 hours and more to come, Mt. Hood Skibowl opened for the 07-08 winter season.  As of that date, the base was 35 inches and more snow was expected through the weekend.  To find out which lifts will be operating and for pass pricing, visit: skibowl.com.

What's new up there? 

Fusion Passes now sold individually and they make a great holiday gifts   New Fusion 8 Series includes 8 events (races and freestyle) at Timberline and Skibowl.  
New groomers at Skibowl bring their total to 7, including 2 winch cats. (Winch cats allow them to groom the steep terrain on upper bowl, creating the steepest corduroy runs on Mt. Hood.)  
The Outback Lodge is revamped with new roof, entrance, and menu.  
The Starlight Lodge now has an espresso bar. 
The Ratskeller, which is now owned and operated by Skibowl, will offer V.I.P. apres ski discounts to Skibowl pass/ticket holders.  
The rental and demo shop has an all-new line of high performance Atomic and Rossignol gear. 
Power: Skibowl spent 6 figures upgrading the power at Skibowl West so that during a power failure the lifts and lodges will not lose power.
